MARSHALL ISLAND MARLIN POP UP TAG REPORTS
ON SCHEDULE!!
Fish was at-liberty for 123 days and the Great Circle Distance was 810 nautical miles from deployment/pop-off locations (i.e.  straight line speed of 6.6.  nmi/d on a bearing of 25.73 deg).  It appears that this fish could have been migrating to or near Hawaiian spawning grounds (estimated size at-tagging, ~120-150#).  The new techniques to increase retention we used appeared to work well (e.g.  median retention in marlin is ~65 day).
